Assumption 2nd grade girls "co-champions" with St. Gerard in the championship game for the SMMA tournament. The score was 0-0 in regulation play, still 0-0 after 2 overtime periods, remained 0-0 in 2 sudden death overtimes and tied 3-3 after penalty kicks. All the girls played an extremely difficult game on a very hot afternoon so the coaches agreed that we would end the game at that point and consider both teams "co-champions". Last year the girls did defeat St. Gerard in the championship game winning the SMMA tournament.
